CHARLES VIRGIL EASTHAM

Charles Virgil Eastham¹² was born on May 11, 1908 in Alpena Pass, Arkansas. Virgil was always an active person and loved to hunt and fish in his younger days. He kept bees for many years next to his garden and loved to hunt for new hives with his long-time friend Truman Justice. He always had a big garden and enjoyed working in it.

On July 23, 1930, Virgil married Juanita Christell (Eden) Eastham, daughter of John Eden and Etta Coy, who was born June 14, 1912 in Heavener, Oklahoma, and was known to all as “Cricket.”

Virgil and Christell had five children:

Christell passed away December 17, 1996 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Virgil passed away September 29, 2004, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They are buried side by side in Tahlequah City Cemetery.

Mary Lou (Eastham) Graham

Mary Lou was born February 24, 1932 in Barber, Oklahoma. She is a retired schoolteacher who divides her time between her son Stanley’s home in Beaverton, Oregon and her daughter Geanette’s home in Cochiti Lake, New Mexico.

During her long career as a school teacher, she taught in Grants, NM., Truth or Consequences, N.M., Tahlequah, OK, and several other locations in both states.

She has four children, 3 by her first marriage to Homer Eugene “Jimmy” Foster:

Charles Eugene Foster

Gene was born January 24, 1950, in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He was plagued by health issues for many years, but never let them slow him down. Gene was loved and sorely missed by all who knew him. He led an adventurous life, and I’m sure as this project grows, there will be some great stories added.

Gene has two children, a daughter and a son.

Gene passed away March 11, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a long struggle with several health problems.

Boyd Stanley Foster

Stan Foster has been self-employed as a professional window tinter for about 40 years. He has taught window tinting classes and given demonstrations around the globe. Currently, Stan and Alexia own a shop in Beaverton, Oregon near their home.

Stan and his wife Alexia Connerly Foster have three children:

Geanette Christell (Foster) Garcia

In 1998, Geanette retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years where she served as a drill instructor and Administrative Chief. She has recently retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation, and her husband Joseph (Joe) Garcia has retired from the New Mexico Department of Health. They live in Cochiti Lake, NM.

Shelly Marie Terrazas

Shelly teaches at the middle school in Truth or Consequences, NM. She enjoys cooking and unwinds by playing poker with her friends.

Shelly has two children with her former husband John Ray Dennis.

Elva Charlene (Eastham) Tucker

Charlene was born August 23, 1935 in Barber, Oklahoma. She is a retired schoolteacher and kept the books for the family business. Her husband Vernon William Tucker was born May 25, 1931, the son of Presley William Thomas “Buster” Tucker and Ruby (Rounsaville) Tucker. He founded and ran Westside Auto Parts, an independent automotive parts store in Tahlequah, OK. They had two children:

William Bryan Tucker was born on May 5, 1959 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Bryan currently lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his mother, sister, and nephew. He has two children, a son Adam Vernon Tucker¹⁵ who was born April 5, 1989 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and a daughter Alexandra Elizabeth Tucker¹⁵, who was born June 30, 1991 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Both children currently live in the Portland, Oregon area:

Adam Vernon Tucker was born April 5, 1989 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He is a wound care specialist BSRN and lives in Portland, Oregon.

Alexandra Elizabeth Tucker was born June 30, 1991 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Alex earned a business degree and lives in Fairview, Oregon.

Dena Renee (Tucker) Wampler was born November 9, 1966 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dena attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and earned a degree in Music Business. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee and worked several years for the Country Music Association. Dena later returned to college and earned her nursing degree from Vanderbilt University and is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She has one son with her former husband Roger Wampler:

Tucker Thomas Wampler was born October 19, 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee. He will graduate High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 2024 and plans on attending Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN.

Ervin Ray Eastham

Ervin was born October 26, 1942 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tahlequah High School and went on to Northeastern State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 1960 he met Linda Sedwick and they had a son, Tim Allen Scott. In 1963, he married (2) Frances McCarver, daughter of Paul McCarver and Leota Mills. They had 3 sons. He graduated from N.S.U. in 1964. He taught in Elk Falls, Kansas, for two years, in Coffeyville, KS, for one year, and then in Coweta, OK, for two years. He earned a Master of Education Degree from N.S.U. in 1978 and then earned a degree in Guidance and Counseling from N.S.U. in 1983. He spent the last thirty-one years of his profession teaching in Owasso, OK. He retired from Owasso Public Schools in 1994 and “has lived happily ever since.” On April 14, 1982 he married to (3) Cynda Lou (Bargerstock) Eastham who was born May 21, 1947 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to Herman Bargerstock and Virginia Wingard. Cynda has one son, Nickolas.

Tim Allen Scott Eastham

Tim Allen Scott Eastham¹⁴ was born November 27, 1961 and is the son of Ervin Eastham and Linda Sedwick. Tim is retired and lives in Owasso, Oklahoma.

Tim was married in 1984 to (M1) Lynn Marr, and they have two children:

Dennis Ray Eastham

Dennis Ray Eastham is the eldest son of Ervin Eastham and Frances (McCarver) Eastham. He was born September 3, 1963 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dennis has been self-employed his whole life. He owns Eastham Mechanical, a heating and air conditioning company in Owasso, OK and has some rental properties. Dennis loves motorcycles, ATVs, and traveling. He lives in Owasso, Oklahoma near his father, Ervin Eastham in a home that he built himself.

Dennis has one daughter with his former wife, Danette Ware:

Paul Brent Eastham

Paul Brent Eastham is the second of three sons of Ervin Eastham and Frances (McCarver) Eastham. He was born January 16, 1967 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Brent has been a plumber for many years. He has one daughter, Erika, and four adopted children.

James Matthew Eastham

James Matthew Eastham is the youngest son of Ervin Eastham and Frances (McCarver) Eastham. James was born September 19, 1970 in Pryor, Oklahoma and lives in Summerfield, North Carolina and Hillsboro, OR, with his wife, Rebecca “Becky” (Nelson) Eastham. He is the VP of Design and Development Engineering at Qorvo, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer. Becky is a Neonatal Nurse. They have three sons and a daughter:

Juanita Marie(Eastham) Sellers¹³ was born July 8, 1945 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She and her husband Albert Sellers (11/13/1942, Welling, Oklahoma) were married July 8, 1978 and live in Wagoner, OK. Julie (Littlefield) Jones was born July 13, 1977 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She and her husband Steve Jones (March 3, 1978, Tulsa, Oklahoma) were married October 13, 2001 and have two children: Steven and Claire. Julie is a published author and works for RAE as an AP Accounting clerk. Her husband Steve is a musician and co-founder of the group The Bison.

Billy Tommy “Son” Eastham

Tommy Eastham¹³ was born on March 24, 1938, and died on March 8, 1953, just short of this 15th birthday from Chronic Nephritis (Bright’s Disease), which affects the kidneys and blood. He is buried in the Hendrix Cemetery south of Tahlequah.
